The joint forces on the western coast launched new strikes against the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, in the Maqbna district, west of Taiz governorate.
The Houthi militia pushed terrorist elements to take control of strategic mountainous areas in the Maqbna district, west of Taiz, as they sought to organize their ranks and attack the liberated areas under the control of the joint forces.
According to the media of the joint forces, "the Iranian-affiliated Houthi militias tried to establish themselves in mountainous areas and create sites in them that would enable them to arrange and strengthen their defenses near the lines of contact in the Maqbna district."
It said, "The units stationed from the joint forces resolutely confronted the Houthi militia and forced them to return to where they came from with intense and focused bombardment, and their attempt, like its predecessors, ended in abject failure."
The joint forces confirmed the complete control of the entire lines of contact on the fronts of the western coast with its southern axes, west of Taiz and the north, south of Hodeidah, noting that the artillery strikes and battles inflicted heavy human and material losses on the Houthi militia.
Recently, the Houthi militia suffered heavy losses on the fronts of Taiz and Hodeidah, including the destruction of artillery positions and missile platforms, after their failed attempt to attack strategic areas in the theater of operations.
