Revolution and counter-revolution in a panel discussion for the Al-Jund Region Network in the Diwan of Taiz Governorate

 Under the patronage of the Governor of Taiz Governorate, Mr. Nabil Shamsan, the Al-Jund Region Network for Youth Initiatives, in cooperation with the Future Foundation for Development and Peacebuilding, implemented today a discussion seminar on the national dialogue, youth, reality and outcomes, in Taiz Governorate.

In the workshop, which was initiated by Malik Al-Naqeeb, head of the Al-Jund Region Network for Youth Initiatives, with an introductory speech about the network and the symposium, the February 11 revolution and the development of the political process and the extent of youth participation in it and its implications for the results and outcomes of the national dialogue, in order to achieve the higher interests of the youth category in particular.

Oqba Abbas, head of the Nahda branch, stressed in his paper entitled The Youth Revolution, Reality and Fate, which he presented, the importance of adhering to the outcomes of dialogue that address the social, economic and cultural problems of youth and the need to involve them in the political process.

The paper dealt with the results of the youth revolution and its political transformations, as they were translated by the national consensus represented in the outcomes of the national dialogue.

 While the second paper, which was entitled Revolutionary Momentum and the role of the Southern Movement and the Youth Revolution in creating the National Dialogue Conference, was presented by Ayman Hussein Al-Haddad, Director of Community Participation in the Technical Office for the Implementation of the National Dialogue Outcomes.

The working paper focused on the historical development of the just and legitimate demands of both the peaceful southern movement and the youth revolution, which were represented in the people's aspirations for freedom, development and political partnership and the rejection of political exclusion in the previous historical stages.

 The paper also reviewed the realization of these demands into reality through the draft constitution of the Federal Yemen.

 The third paper, entitled "Youth Revolution Through the Eyes of Its Youth", which was presented by a member of the National Dialogue Conference, dealt with the historical context of the Youth Revolution and its emergence and the development of the movement of demands associated with it and the resulting political rapprochement that eventually led to the existence of the National Dialogue Conference.

The fourth paper, entitled "What did Yemen lose as a result of the Houthi coup", presented by journalist Ahmed Shawqi Ahmed, dealt with the development of the dark roots of the Houthi movement and the beginning of its conspiracy against the people and the republic, the history of its establishment and suspicious relations within the framework of the Persian priestly project.

 In his paper, Shawqi touched on how the Houthis turned into agents to export the Khomeinist revolution project and the velayat-e faqih system and try to impose it on the Zaidi sect in changing the identity and customs of the right-wingers before embarking on a coup against the state and its institutions and trying to turn Yemenis into guns subject to Tehran’s decision.

Human rights activist Layal Al-Shagdari presented the fifth paper entitled "Women in the National Dialogue", in which she spoke about the gains of Yemeni women in light of the national document represented in the outcomes of the national dialogue, which gave women an advanced position on the social, cultural and economic level and guaranteed their rights as a mother and citizen, as well as participating in and accommodating the political process in  All fields, including the military and security.

The participants in the symposium unanimously presented a set of recommendations, most notably the commitment of the government of Maeen Abdul-Malik to implement the outcomes of the national dialogue and the need to unify joint efforts between the various political factions to work together to end the coup.
