Dismantling a Houthi anti-tank minefield in Shabwa

The Saudi project to clear mines in Yemen, "Masam", dismantled an anti-tank minefield planted by the Houthi militia, before it was defeated, in the Al-Saleem area of Asilan District, Shabwa Governorate, in the south of the country.

The deputy commander of the seventh team in the project, Engineer Nasser Al-Samsum, said in a press statement that the team was able to remove 100 anti-tank mines from the discovered field, which has an area of more than 5,000 square meters.

He added, that the field is sheep grazing areas, and it was planted by the Houthi militia in large quantities of anti-armor mines after modification and attaching them to pedals to be individual mines.

He pointed out that the team's work continues until the discovered field is fully secured and the area is secured to spare civilians and sheep herders the danger.
