UN statistic: 665 civilians were killed and injured in Yemen during a month

234 Yemeni civilians were killed last January, the highest monthly death toll in three years, according to the United Nations.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said that "234 civilians were killed and 431 others were injured, during last January, the highest monthly death toll in three years."
He added, "The continuation of the conflict in Yemen has caused heavy casualties among civilians, with the situation deteriorating from the last quarter of 2021 until the new year 2022."
He pointed out that "the year 2021 witnessed the killing of 769 civilians, and the injury of 1,739 others, at a rate of 7 victims per day."
The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, is behind the killing and wounding of the largest proportion of civilians.
