When a group of young people aspiring for a better future protested in front of the gate of Sanaa University on January 27, 2011, they were calling for change, political and economic reforms, and the fight against corruption. Assaulting their sit-in, and riding their demands to achieve political gains, as these forces demolished the state system and turned the country into complete chaos. Today, Yemen is far from achieving the legitimate demands of the youth.
On February 2, before the opportunist forces hijacked the peaceful youth revolution, the late President Ali Abdullah Saleh was responding to the demands of the sit-in youth, announcing government programs to reduce poverty, provide job opportunities for university graduates, and open the door for subscription to citizens, in a number of Public economic institutions, expanding the powers of local government, and democratically electing governors and directors of districts, stressing that he will not seek a new term after his term ends in 2013, or turn back the clock.
However, the opportunist forces, led by the Islah Party, the local arm of the terrorist Brotherhood, found an opportunity in front of them, to ride the wave of the so-called “Arab Spring”, in order to pounce on a regime in which they had been partners for 33 years. , to climb on their demands, and "Tawakkol Karman" called on the youth for what she called a "day of anger", and led them in marches chanting the overthrow of the regime, to reveal the goal that the Brotherhood sought from the beginning, and their desire to ride the demands of the youth, and turn them into a crossing bridge for the Brotherhood's ambitions to reach power .
The main goal of the Brotherhood, who was kidnapped by the youth revolution, was to get rid of “Saleh” and replace him, without appreciating the consequences that would result from that. The youth were deceived by the slogans calling for freedom, justice, equality and the civil state, which the opportunist group raised in the square, before it became clear to the youth later on the “Brotherhood” goals and objectives of climbing on their revolution, and diverting it from its peacefulness and purpose, and this is what prompted many of them to leave the sit-in square, after Their discovery of the reality of this group, and their certainty that terrorist groups cannot build a civil state.
Meanwhile, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi was in the caves of Saada, following the events with interest and waiting for the opportunity to pounce on the regime, and with the announcement of the "Brotherhood" on "February 11" as a day for their revolution, which turned the country into chaos, this date had an impact on al-Houthi. It is the day of Khomeini's sectarian revolution in Iran in 1979. Therefore, al-Houthi mobilized his supporters in the street in a demonstration in the city of Dahyan in Saada, calling for the overthrow of the regime, and saluting the Brotherhood, "who were able to lead the popular revolution to the stage of no return." description limit.
The "Brotherhood" supported the Houthi marches in Saada, and called on the rebel armed group to join the protests in Sana'a, to unite efforts to overthrow the regime. The Brotherhood said that the first beneficiary of entering the game of overthrowing the “regime” would be the Houthis.
The Houthis established a number of blocs and coalitions in the protests square in Sana'a, the most prominent of which was the "Shabab al-Samoud" bloc, in addition to other blocs that claimed independence and not affiliation with any specific political party or component. The other was in Taiz, Ibb, Hodeidah and other governorates, and it was the first time that the Houthis found a space in which to operate, after they were just an armed group rebelling against the state, stationed in Saada.
In February 2012, President Saleh handed over power to his deputy, based on the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism, and then Hadi was elected president, so the "Brotherhood" with all its components and coalitions evacuated the arena of protests in Sana'a, but the Houthis continued until late 2014, when they were waiting for the opportunity, to overthrow power. controlled by their allies, the Muslim Brotherhood.
After they took over Saada governorate, the Houthis took advantage of the convening of the National Dialogue Conference, and began toppling the district after the other, and inaugurated the occupation of the governorates by force of arms, starting with Amran governorate in June 2014, passing through Sana’a and beyond, leading to the imposition of the “Peace and Partnership Agreement” by force of arms, then issuing the “Peace and Partnership Agreement” by force of arms. Constitutional Declaration,” the assault on power, and the undermining of Yemenis’ hopes for a civil state.
And the terrorist militia would not have crossed the borders of Saada Governorate, reaching Sanaa and other governorates, to restore the Imamate regime, and work to destroy the country with absurd wars, had it not been for the Brotherhood’s embrace of it on February 11, 2011, the day of the catastrophe that caused the Yemenis the worst humanitarian catastrophe, which it celebrates in memory of. Every year, "Brotherhood" channels and their media are in Doha and Istanbul.
