A private source said that President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, who has lived in Saudi Arabia for years, agreed to sell his house in the capital, Aden, but the lack of agreement on the price prevented it from being sold.

The source confirmed that a businessman made an offer to President Hadi with his desire to buy his house located in the Khor Maksar district of the Abyan coast, next to the Russian Consulate. The president agreed to sell, but asked for the price of the house to be two billion riyals, equivalent to two million dollars.

The source confirmed that the buyer offered 1.5 billion riyals as a maximum value for the house, which was rejected by President Hadi.

Real estate brokers estimated the real value of the president's house, along with the land area and real estate prices in the local market, at about 3 million dollars.

According to a previous statement to a journalist, he confirmed that President Hadi told him in an interview that neither he nor his sons own anything in Aden except for his house in the Khor Maksar district.

President Hadi owns a huge palace in the capital, Sanaa, which has been controlled by the Houthi militia since 2014, with a market value of about $5 million.

Real estate prices in the capital, Aden, witnessed a record rise, driven by the decline in the price of the local currency "riyal" and the rise in construction costs, which increased by nearly 200%.
