Disposal of 14,000 Houthi mines in Shabwa and Marib
English - Saturday 05 February 2022 الساعة 07:04 pmThe Masam Demining Team managed to extract 14,000 mines and explosive devices from the Houthi terrorist militia, during the past two weeks, in the liberated areas of Shabwa and Marib.
The Executive Officer of the National Demining Program, Brigadier Amin Al-Aqili, confirmed that the program's engineering teams removed huge quantities of mines planted by the Houthi militia in several governorates.
Al-Aqili said that what was cleared during the past two weeks alone amounted to 14,000 Houthi mines and explosive devices, most of them in the recently liberated areas in the governorates of Shabwa and Marib.
The Masam Project for Demining, affiliated with the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action, revealed that its engineering teams had extracted, from June 2018 to January 7, “303,279” mines and unexploded ordnance left by the Houthi militia in several governorates.
