Aden, NewsYemen:

A military source told NewsYemen that government forces stormed the city of Haradh in Hajjah Governorate (northwest of Yemen), amid violent clashes with the Houthi militia.

The source stated that units from the Fifth Military Region launched an attack from two axes on the Houthi militia entrenched inside the city, and succeeded in breaking its defenses, on Saturday.

He stressed that the army forces took control of the southern part and advanced towards the depth of the city, while combing the southern and southwestern neighborhoods continued.

According to the source, violent clashes between the two sides are taking place after the Al-Hashidi station and the Midi junction (in the center of the city of Haradh), where the Houthi militia is holed up in the northern parts of the city, after it booby-trapped a number of buildings.

He stated that the Houthi militia left more than 40 dead bodies of its members in the locations it lost in the vicinity and inside the city of Haradh.
