Sudanese newspaper quoted al-Qaeda members in Sudan as saying that the leader who was massacred was called “Abu Turab al-Sudani,” Rashad Qureshi Othman, from Khartoum, who joined the ranks of al-Qaeda from an early age in his youth, and fought within its forces in Afghanistan, Yemen and Somalia. , before settling in Yemen, where he rose in the combat organization, until he assumed the position of logistic officer at Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
