The hijacked legitimacy of the Brotherhood’s Islah party continues to obstruct the treatment of the economic file in the liberated areas, by thwarting the provision for this file in the Riyadh Agreement, which led to a further deterioration of the economic situation in the southern governorates, despite the steps taken, including the appointment of a new management for the central bank.
During its last meeting, the Southern Transitional Council accused forces in the legitimacy of seeking to thwart the Riyadh Agreement by taking unilateral decisions in the economic file, which led to the deterioration of the situation in the southern governorates.
He said that he will not allow the continuity of the unilateral decisions issued by the legitimacy, through which some forces seek to undermine and thwart the Riyadh Agreement.
He stressed that he will not hesitate to take the necessary measures to stop the implementation of those unilateral decisions whenever necessary.
The Transitional Council called on the government of parity to take quick measures to address the crisis of oil derivatives, and to find immediate solutions to end the crisis, which it said that the elements of greed and influence were creating at the expense of the citizen.
In this context, the southern academic, Dr. Fadl Al-Rubaie, revealed the reasons for the deterioration of the political and economic conditions in the liberated areas, explaining that it was due to the failure to implement the Riyadh Agreement.
Al-Rubaie said, in his Facebook post, that the reality proved that the failure to implement the agreement had led to the deterioration of the political and economic conditions in the liberated areas, such as the accelerated collapse in the price of the national currency against the dollar.
He explained that the deterioration of the level of services in the liberated southern governorates, and the delay in the payment of military salaries, due to the absence and weak role of the government and the failure to implement the Riyadh Agreement, which impeded the performance of its tasks.
He added that the economic aspect is of great importance by pushing the agreement towards enhancing confidence in the new government and providing it with resources to confront economic dilemmas.
Southern journalist Salah Al-Saqladi said that the situation did not change and salaries were not paid despite the presence of the government at home and the change in the management of the Central Bank, which was used as a pretext by the so-called legitimacy.
He said in a tweet to him on Twitter, that the excuses that legitimacy has been using in the past months regarding its refusal to pay the salaries of the army and security and their irregularity on a monthly basis are: not allowing the government to return to Aden, and the refusal of the Deputy Governor of the Bank (Shakib Al-Hubaishi) to the orders of the presidency and the government.
He added, today, after the return of the government with almost all of its ministers to Aden, and the removal of Al-Hubaishi from the head of the bank, all these pretexts were removed and the hidden was revealed to those who were deceived by these flimsy pretexts.
