On Sunday, the joint forces continued their advance in western Taiz governorate, achieving new field gains, after violent battles against the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen.
The official spokesman for the Giants Brigades, Captain Mamoun Al-Mahjami, stated that the joint forces cleared new areas in the village of "Al-Brasha", north of the Maqbna district, west of Taiz.
He explained that the joint forces had taken full control of the strategic heights in Al-Barsha, which are the mountains of "Al-Qamar", "Qubna", "Husun Al-Kafir", "Al-Shaoor", "Al-Qulaila" and many of the surrounding mountain hills.
Al-Mahamji published a video clip showing the strategic heights, including the historic "Husun Al-Kafir" mountain, which dates back to the Himyarite state in Yemen and overlooks important agricultural places, as well as the Al-Barsha heights overlooking the Hodeidah-Taiz line and coastal areas on the Red Sea.
The battles resulted in the killing and wounding of dozens of Houthi militiamen, in addition to significant material losses.
