The "Al-Watta" meeting calls on the coalition to intervene in Shabwa and gives legitimacy to dismiss "Ibn Adiyo"

The expanded public meeting of the people of Shabwa governorate, held today, Tuesday, in the Al-Watta area in the Nisab district, called on interim President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi to change the local authority loyal to the Brotherhood, stressing its responsibility to hand over Bayhan to the Houthi militia, and to bring the governorate to this bitter and extremely dangerous situation.

In a final statement, the participants also called on the brothers in the Arab coalition, led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, to intervene to save Shabwa and its people and protect them from all Houthi intrusions and terrorist groups, stressing the readiness of the people of the governorate to defend their governorate within the Arab project in Yemen.

The statement called on President Hadi to form a special committee and to involve specialized officers from the people of the province, in order to investigate the fall of the three Bayhan districts to the Houthis without any significant resistance.

He stressed the dismissal of all the leaders responsible for this and referring them to trial, the restructuring of the military forces in Shabwa and assigning the tasks of its leadership to competent officers from the people of the province.

 He stressed the need to spare Shabwa from the scourge of disputes and wars by implementing the provisions of the Riyadh Agreement, changing the local authority, and completing security and military arrangements in a way that defuses the crisis and unites all the people of Shabwa in the face of the Houthi invasion and the security and stability of Shabwa.

The expanded meeting called on President Hadi to intervene to save Shabwa and its people from the bitter reality in various administrative, financial, service, political, security and military fields due to the bad abuse of power, pointing out that it has become the most important frontier of confrontation with the Houthi militia.

He called on the presidency, the government of competencies and all relevant authorities to oblige the Shabwa authority to supply the entirety of Shabwa governorate’s revenues to the central bank in Aden, as stipulated in the Riyadh Agreement.

The Al-Watta meeting condemned the arrests based on political reasons and called for the release of all prisoners of conscience, and those against whom no charges were established in accordance with the law, calling at the same time to refer all detainees to the prosecution and the judiciary, to end their suffering in partisan and secret prisons, and to refer those involved in crimes of violations and murder against civilians to the judicial authorities.

The people of Shabwa renewed their thanks and gratitude to the brothers in the Arab coalition, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, for their standing in the face of the Houthi coup and the restoration of legitimacy, and for the sincere and sincere brotherly efforts they have made and are still making for the Shabwa governorate.
