Several districts in Shabwa governorate are witnessing a local movement within the framework of preparation and mobilization to get rid of the Iran-backed Houthi militias, which were handed over to the districts of Usaylan, Ain and Bayhan, by Islah party elements that control the local authority in the governorate.
Local and tribal sources stated that the districts of Nisab, Habban and Markha Al-Ulya witnessed tribal meetings and meetings attended by prominent figures from the social, tribal, military and political circles, members of the House of Representatives and Shura Council, to prepare and prepare for the start of a new phase of resistance and fighting against the elements of the Houthi militia, and the elements of the Islah Party that betrayed and destroyed province during the last period.
Yesterday, an expanded tribal meeting was held for a number of the governorate’s tribes in the Nisab district, in the context of the tribal, social and military deterioration of the people of the governorate to confront the corruption of the reform authority, which handed over three districts to the Houthis, and tampered with the capabilities of Shabwa in favor of its elements.
A tribal source confirmed that a number of governorate figures attended the meeting, including Sultan Awad bin Al-Wazir, the leader of the Ataq axis, Aziz Al-Atiqi, and the director of the governorate's security, Awad Al-Dahboul. It was emphasized that the people of the province would unite to confront the projects of the Islah elements allied with the Houthi militia and restore all the areas that were recently handed over.
The source indicated that the meeting thanked the leadership of the Arab coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen, for its support in order to liberate the governorate and restore security and stability to it, appealing to legitimacy to quickly rid the governorate of the influence of the Islah party, which has brought it to what it is today in the presence of Houthi militias in the three districts of Bayhan.
The source stated that during the meeting, it was agreed to hold a comprehensive meeting for the people of the governorate in order to coordinate and prepare for the next stage, in order to serve everyone, and to recapture Shabwa from the Houthi and Islah militias.
On Saturday, tribes, social figures, and military and civilian officials from all regions of Shabwa continued to flock to the minister's house, to welcome his return to the governorate, and to respond to the invitation to participate in the ongoing preparations to save Shabwa from the elements of Islah and the Houthi militia, in cooperation and coordination with the Arab Coalition to Support Legitimacy.
On the other hand, well-informed sources in Shabwa confirmed that members and leaders of the Islah party, "the arm of the Brotherhood in Yemen", transferred and sold its properties in the governorate after the popular rejection of it, noting that the Brotherhood's governor, Ibn Udayo, the main coordinator between the Brotherhood and the Houthi movement, transferred his family to Turkey.
