In an attempt to restore the effects of the statement of the Marib parties, which attacked the countries of the Arab coalition and rallied to its side the legitimacy and the Houthis, Sultan al-Arada, the governor of Marib, came out with a new speech that carried a conciliatory tone with those whom the Brotherhood considers their opponents.
Al-Arada, in a statement to the media, finally recalled the sacrifices of the Emirati army in Marib, and held those he described as writers and activists responsible for the abuse of the UAE and the coalition, as he said, in an attempt to whitewash the page of legitimacy, its leaders and its official media, which has been systematically attacking the UAE for years.
In his statement, Al-Arada refused to harm the brothers in the Emirates, according to his statement, saying that they stood and spilled their blood on our side in Marib, and they stood by us and the stand of men at the invitation of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the invitation of His Excellency the President of the Republic.
A statement issued by the Islah Party in Marib and attributed to the governorate's parties had attacked the Arab coalition a few days ago, surprising what it described as the role that is leading the battle.
He also pushed legitimacy to the side of the coalition to pass the statement, which was interpreted as a message of blackmail to Saudi Arabia by handing over Marib to the Houthis.
While al-Arada remained silent last year when the joint forces on the western coast offered to provide military support to the Marib governorate, he returned on Saturday to speak in a conciliatory language, addressing Brigadier General Tariq Saleh. He said, "I can fight on the coast, and by God, if I did not have a battle in Marib, I would go to fight with Tariq there, and if he was not on a gap, I would have told him to come to me, but I am afraid of a gap for the Houthis in Aden."
But when he spoke about Tariq Saleh protecting Aden, he showed what lies behind the manufacture of intrigue, as if there is consensus on the role of each party, and also blew up the content of his previous talk about openness and sharing the battle against the militias, as well as deliberately not referring to the Transitional Council, and he went to talk about individual reinforcements that reach Marib under his command only.
Al-Arada came to the scene at this time and in conjunction with the field retreat of the Brotherhood’s army, and only the tribes remained at the head of the confrontation with the Houthis.
The aim was to solicit support from parties that the Brotherhood had deliberately antagonized over the past years when they believed that they were a striking force.
The statement issued by the Ma’rib parties or the Marib reform was formulated with the participation of Al-Arada, while yesterday he came out playing the role of the wise who brings everyone together around him, while he is part of the defeat, corruption, looting and exclusion that the people of Marib have been subjected to.
Al-Arada was and will remain a Brotherhood pawn that implements everything the Brotherhood and Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar want, even if he tries to appear as a decision-maker and a personality with independence and a broad tribal and political presence.
Al-Arada’s openness to opponents within the framework of the coalition was preceded by Salem, the military governor of Taiz, and Ben Adyo will remain, and he will have a role to play under the slogan of unity and close ranks...not to save Yemen but to save the Brotherhood.
