Aden, NewsYemen:

A media activist from the Marib governorate revealed new information about the involvement of Brotherhood leaders, civilian and military, in the pyramid of legitimacy, in a betrayal that brought down the “Harib” district in the hands of the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen.

Youssef Ahmed Al-Aqili, in a post on his Facebook account, said, "The Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant-General Saghir bin Aziz, directed the establishment of military battalions to defend Harib, but two Brotherhood leaders obstructed the Chief of Staff's movements."

He explained that Mansour Thawabeh, commander of the Third Military Region, loyal to the Brotherhood, General Ali Mohsen Saleh, and Brotherhood leader Nasser Al-Thibani, obstructed the directives of Lieutenant-General Ibn Aziz, claiming that forming and training battalions would take a long time.

He pointed out that Thawabeh and Al-Dhibani are charged by the Brotherhood with disrupting the formation of any forces in Marib, under the supervision of the Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant-General Saghir bin Aziz, or outside the control of "Mohsen" and the group.

He added that the issue of forming the battalions was referred to Sheikh Mabkhout bin Aboud al-Sharif (head of the Islah party branch in Marib), who in turn assigned Abu Shamil al-Haddad (a Brotherhood leader from the Harib district) to solve the problem.

In turn, "Abu Shamil" went to "Ain" in the same directorate and began searching for a Brotherhood leader to rely on (because the Brotherhood trusts only those who belong to the organization) and because the people of the area are not loyal to the Brotherhood, he arranged with people there to receive financial and military support, not to defend the area in front of the Houthi attack.

Al-Aqili confirmed that not a single member of the Brotherhood's security forces was killed in the "Harib" district, and that the group's members fled before the Houthis arrived, pointing out that the Brotherhood's allegations of "martyrs" there were just an attempt to cover up the betrayal.

Al-Aqili concluded by saying, "It was the army's fictitious statements, corruption, and closed-room understandings that brought down Harib," referring to the Brotherhood's tampering with the army's file throughout the years of the war, as well as their understandings with the Houthi militia.

In turn, activist Khaled Baklan confirmed that what happened in the Harib district, south of Ma'rib governorate, was "betrayal and penetration."

"There are others who contributed to what happened," Baklan said, on his Facebook account, adding: "The director of Harib security and the Harib security area must be referred to the military judiciary, they are the head of military operations and the commander of the Mula'a point of the Special Security."
