Shabwa, NewsYemen:

A few days before the fall of the Bayhan districts in Shabwa governorate, Brotherhood forces, under the direction of the governorate’s governor, stormed the areas of the Balharith tribes in Usaylan, and launched a major attack on the tribe, because of its demand to protect the oil fields located in its lands.

These Brotherhood attacks forced Belharith and a number of tribes to remain neutral after the Houthi militias took control of Bayhan and Usaylan.

Political activist Abd Rabbo al-Awlaqi said that without the movement of the Balharith tribes, the fronts, which had a major role in the previous battles with the Houthi militias years ago, would not move.

Al-Awlaqi pointed out that the Belharith tribe was in previous wars, whenever the army broke, it attacked its men and supported them.

It presented dozens, and it is permissible to describe hundreds of its men, young and old, indicating that what happened before the fall of Bayhan this time was that the Shabwah authority attacked Belharith in its valley in order to get them out of the oil fields that is in their land and handed over from what they called the installations brigade.

Al-Awlaqi indicated that this matter provoked Balharith at a time when Al-Houthi had his eye on Bayhan, which made Belharith to line up their transition, reform and conference, stressing that whoever referred to the Shabwa authority to attack Belharith has all the details of the days that followed.
