Aden, NewsYemen:

The Governor of Marib, Major General Sultan Al-Arada, confirmed that the most important reasons for the delay in the military resolution against the Iranian-backed Houthi militias are "the instability of the legitimate government", in addition to the participation of "elements, experts and engineers" from Iran and Hezbollah in the fighting and management of Houthi battles, as well as the continued flow of funds to the Houthis.  From sects and groups in several countries.

He said in an interview with the Egyptian "Al-Sharq Channel", that Marib was able to break the power of the Houthis, and thwarted all its attacks that began in 2015, and which intensified since the beginning of last year, as the militias mobilized all their forces with the aim of controlling Marib, but it remained and will remain steadfast, and development continues.  He added, "I assure everyone that Al-Houthi will not achieve his ambition, and steadfastness breeds attack."

While noting that the expected scenario for Marib in the future is steadfastness, he affirmed the demise of the militias and their project, leaving behind a tragedy represented by the "many cemeteries" that regret the shedding of the blood of Yemenis who are being pushed to the incinerators, stressing in this regard that the end of the Houthi will be a bad thing.  He did not engage in Yemeni citizenship, as Yemenis would not accept the rule of Qom and Tehran.

On how to continue smuggling weapons and foreign elements to fight with the Houthis, Al-Arada said that the answer lies with the Arab coalition to support legitimacy, pointing out that the official media role does not rise to the level required to expose the militias’ crimes and all the information surrounding them.

On the American role, Al-Arada stressed that the Americans have balances and interests that they are working to preserve, while Iran is taking advantage of this to support and welcome death.

With regard to the Houthis' iron grip on Sanaa, he pointed out that this worsened after the martyrdom of the leader Ali Abdullah Saleh, as he described it, referring to the pacification of the tribes and residents of the capital, who did not move anything, contrary to what we expected to support Saleh, which increased the militia's grip, and established the Houthi rule.

Al-Arada stated that Al-Houthi benefited from the differences within Yemeni circles, to continue to extend his hand on the ground, stressing that mismanagement is behind the fragmentation of Yemenis, saying: "We adhere to the return of the state, and our good relationship with the south."
