Sana'a, NewsYemen, private:

The Houthi group continues its practical steps to consolidate the features of its own state in the "north" and to separate it completely from the liberated areas, the majority of which are the southern governorates, in a manner similar to the declaration of an official separation between the north and the south.

The features of "secession" are evident on the ground through the fact that most of the north pre-1990 CE remained under the control of the Houthi group, with the exception of the city of Marib and some of the surrounding districts, about 55% of the area of Taiz governorate and 20% of the governorate of Hodeidah, in addition to the desert parts of Marib and Al-Jawf.

On the other hand, the war did not complete its first year except with the purification of all the lands occupied by the political entity of the south before the year 90 AD, the “People’s Democratic Republic of Yemen”, and the scene remained as it is for more than four years, which established a “separatist” scene on the map in the liberated south and the semi-subjected north  Houthi control.

The scene did not stop as repercussions of the military situation, but actually tended to consolidate the Houthi secession in the areas of his control in the north, separating them from the liberated areas in a practical and in more than one way.

The features of this "separatist" trend are clearly visible in the economic aspect, which was launched with the Houthi group banning the circulation of the new currency issued by the Central Bank in Aden in 2018, which created a split in the currency value between the legitimate and Houthi regions, which recently reached about 40%.

A move described by the economic expert, Mustafa Nasr, head of the Center for Studies and Economic Media, as "the most dangerous step for dividing Yemen economically during the current stage."  new.

Warnings that the bank’s management in Aden did not respond to until only a week ago, when it announced that large quantities of the local currency, the 1,000 riyals, of a large size, would be pumped into the market and in all regions of the country to address “price distortions in the national currency,” which is the exchange difference between Sana’a and Aden.

However, the step quickly failed after the bank stopped pumping this category of currency, after dozens of brokers spread in front of the Central Bank and bank branches to buy it from citizens and employees in return for paying 1200-1400 riyals of the small-sized 1,000 riyals denomination with the aim of transferring it to Sana’a.

In addition to the currency, the Houthi group had other “separatist” measures of an economic nature, by establishing customs ports near the seam areas, to impose a customs process on goods and cars coming from the liberated areas, and considering them to come from another country.

As for the most dangerous file, the “separation” in the education file, as a result of the Houthi militia’s tampering with the education curricula in their areas of control and the introduction of their sectarian and racist ideas on them, which forced the legitimate government to separate the educational process completely, so that there would be the first public high schools for areas of legitimacy and the first public high schools for areas  Houthi.

The latest Houthi “separation” steps, revealed by a document issued by the General Authority for Land Transport in Sana’a, which is under the control of the Houthi group, and included a number of measures against travelers and drivers of mass transit buses, which are applied between countries and not within the borders of one country.

The document indicates that the Passports Authority, under the control of the Houthis, has opened passport offices in the Afar region of Al-Malajim District, north of Al-Bayda Governorate, and Al-Rahda area, south of Taiz Governorate, which are points located on the most important roads linking the Houthi-controlled areas and the liberated areas.

The authority directed, in a circular to the directors of international and local mass transportation companies, and car rental offices, a number of procedures, including “no foreign or Arab driver moving from the bus launch location unless he has an exit or return visa on a passport from the Immigration Authority.”  and passports in Sanaa.

The authority prohibited the movement of any bus driver of Arab or foreign nationalities who holds a permit from the ports of the governorates under the authority of the legitimate government.  .

The Houthi group is proceeding with its "separatist" project and demarcating the features of its state in the north, taking advantage of the military progress it is making as a result of the stagnation and collapse of the northern fronts under the administration of Representative Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar and the Brotherhood, while the group and its old general dedicate the media attack against the transitional and militarily against Aden under  The sign "Preserve the unity."
