On Tuesday, the Iranian-backed Houthi militia launched a massive attack on the "Khanjar" camp in the Khub Wa Sha'af district in Al-Jawf, one day after the government forces and the resistance announced the completion of the cleansing of the western areas of the camp from Houthi cells and the remnants of their presence near the international road linking the city of Al-Hazm and the Al-Yatama area.  .

According to field sources, the attack was sudden and under heavy cover of fire, and had it not been for the intervention of the Arab coalition fighters, by launching a series of raids on militia gatherings and mechanisms, the camp would have fallen into the hands of the Houthis.

He knows the importance of the "destroyed dagger" camp, and what is the purpose and goal behind the militias' efforts to control it, is it media, or is it of strategic importance for the battles on the ground in the Khub Wa Sha'af district.

The militias had intensified their attacks on the Al-Jawf fronts during the past week, including the "Al-Qa'if" area in Bart Al-Anan, in "Al-Jadafar", and the "Al-Alam and Al-Nadod" areas, east of Al-Hazm, and sent large reinforcements to the Al-Jawf fronts in order to achieve a breakthrough towards the Ma'rib governorate from the side.  Northeast.

The information received from Al-Jawf indicates that the importance of the camp is that it overlooks a mountain range in the middle of a vast desert, known as the Al-Rayyan Mountains, as well as its location on the international road linking Al-Jawf and Saada, which passes from the Al-Khadra port on the Saudi border towards Al-Yatama and from there towards the city of Al-Hazm, the capital of Al-Jawf.  , where the militias want to be stationed in the Rayyan Mountains, to avoid air strikes.

The location of the camp and the Rayyan Mountains enables the militias to launch attacks towards the road linking Al-Jawf and Marib towards Al-Abr and Al-Ruk camp, and it opens a new front towards the oil and gas fields in Marib from the northeastern side.

According to field sources, the areas of the "white sergeant, black sergeant, and the network area" west of al-Khanjar camp are still witnessing violent battles between the two sides, and the forces, with the support of coalition fighters, were able to break the attack in its early stages, and the Houthis incurred heavy losses.

The sources indicated that the militia launched an attack from three axes, towards the west of the camp, from their positions in the "Ruhaina Mountains" series, but the coalition fighters intervened at the right time and thwarted the attack before the Houthi elements reached the Al-Raqib Al-Abyad area.

It is noteworthy that the militias are trying to disperse the government forces and the resistance, by launching sporadic attacks on the fronts of Al-Jawf, Marib, Saada, Taiz and Al-Bayda, and towards Shabwa, Abyan, and Lahj, with the aim of weakening the defensive force behind which the army and resistance forces have holed up in the vicinity of Marib for months, and prevented the Houthis from reaching their sources.  Oil and Gas in Sapphire.
