Disclosure of the magnitude of the force and the reasons for the retreat in the Al-Bayda-Bayhan axis

Military sources in Shabwa revealed that there were differences within the forces affiliated with the Bayhan axis, which led to the retreat of the fighting fronts, and enabled the Iranian-backed Houthi militia to advance towards the province, through the north of Al-Bayda.

The sources reported, that differences between the leaders of the brigades affiliated with legitimacy in the Bayhan axis and Ataq axis, against the background of the formation of that priority and the powers granted to each brigade, away from the leadership of the axis, which the Houthi militia exploited and advanced towards the "Al-Qana`a" obstacle from the north of Al-Bayda.

The sources confirmed the presence of 6 military brigades in the Bayhan axis, most of them formed from members of the Islah party, while others were dismantled from the tribes and the southern resistance, and others were backed with non-combat missions affiliated with leaders in the Ministry of Defense.

The sources indicated that the 26th Brigade is in the command of the axis, and the 19th Brigade was dismantled, and weapons and financial support were not provided to it, by the Ministry of Defense, due to the presence of individuals belonging to the Southern Resistance in it, while the 163rd Brigade, all its affiliates and leadership are from the Islah party, and the 173rd Brigade are from the sons of  The clans, they do not have sufficient training and armament to fight battles in mountainous areas.

It indicated that the 101st Protection Brigade is affiliated with the Ministry of Defense and specializes in providing protection for companies and vital facilities, and is not involved in any combat, while the 21st Infantry Brigade is divided between the Ataq and Bayhan axes.  In the Yemeni army, to the Houthi group, which worked to exploit it, and advanced towards the governorate.

According to the sources, the situation of this priority is currently being rearranged by the Presidency of the General Staff of the Army, in coordination with the Arab coalition, to form a unified command for the axis, and to appoint new leaders of brigades, chiefs of staff, chiefs of operations, leaders of units and battalions and other organizational matters, in order to  Reclaiming the offensive initiative and retaking the areas controlled by the militias in Al-Bayda.
