Shabwa, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

The conflict intensified between the Brotherhood's military and security formations in Shabwa Governorate.

A source told NewsYemen that the conflict amounted to arrests targeting security officials, following undeclared disputes between the Special Forces, the police, and the 21st Mika Brigade.

The police foiled the arrest of the Director of the Narcotics Control Agency in Shabwa Governorate, Ahmed Ali Musaed, last Sunday, while he was staying in a hotel in Ataq.

The Special Forces had tried to arrest bin Musaed late on Sunday evening, as part of the conflict taking place between the Yemeni Brotherhood’s apparatus.

For his part, an official source told NewsYemen that the 21st Mika Brigade, led by Jahdal Hanash, refused to send reinforcements to Baihan to confront the Houthis, who are close to the district, and the Special Forces refused to send reinforcements from their side.

According to the source, the Special Forces violated an agreement signed with Shabwa Security Director Awad al-Dahboul, which stipulates that they do not interfere in the affairs of the city of Ataq, and are stationed only in its suburbs.

The conflict between the Brotherhood's formations in the city of Ataq, in particular, portends an explosion of the situation militarily.
