Al-Bayda, NewsYemen.

An official document issued by the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant-General Muhammad Al-Maqdashi, revealed the dismissal of Major General Nasser Al-Khidr Al-Sawadi from the leadership of the Al-Bayda axis, a day after the leaking of text messages to Al-Sawadi during which he revealed dangerous information related to Al-Maqdashi.

According to the document issued on July 7, the Minister of Defense issued a decision appointing Colonel Ahmed Hussein Muhammad al-Naqh as commander of the al-Bayda axis in addition to his position as commander of the 117th Brigade.

The date of the document’s issuance shows that a day after the leak of text messages to Major General Nasser Al-Sawadi, commander of the Al-Bayda axis (who also holds the position of the governorate’s governor), with his nephew, he accused Al-Maqdashi of plotting against the popular resistance in Al-Bayda in the service of the Houthi militia.

The document also shows that the dismissal decision was issued at the direction of Lieutenant-General Ali Mohsen (who then rushed to the phone of Al-Sawadi, after the conversations were leaked).

The governor of Al-Bayda was quoted by the Minister of Defense, Muhammad Al-Maqdashi, as saying, "The legitimacy will not interfere in Al-Bayda until the forces of the Southern Giants Brigades are removed from the province."

Al-Sawadi added in the leaked text conversations on July 6 that Al-Maqdashi also stipulated that the popular resistance hand over the areas retaken from the Houthis to the legitimate forces, which are under the control of the Islah Party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood.

He stated that the minister asked him not to contact him about strengthening the popular resistance on the Al-Bayda fronts, while the governor, "Al-Sawadi", hinted that he intends to submit his resignation from the position.
