Aden, NewsYemen:

The head of the legitimate government, Maeen Abdulmalik, called on the international community to provide urgent support to save the Yemeni currency, while warning of a "complete collapse of Yemen's economy."

In a government meeting, on Sunday, he called, via video conference, "brotherly and friendly countries to provide urgent support so that a complete collapse does not occur after which it is difficult for any intervention to save the Yemeni economy."  According to the official news agency "Saba".

He warned of "a complete collapse of Yemen's economy, if international support is not obtained to maintain the price of the local currency."

Abdulmalik talked about what he called “measures taken by the Supreme Economic Council to confront the collapse of the local currency, and the existing coordination to support the efforts of the Central Bank in controlling exchange rates, reducing speculation and enhancing public revenues.” However, the Yemeni riyal continues to collapse in the local exchange market without any actual movement from  The government side to put an end to the disaster.

So far, the prime minister and a number of ministers refuse to return to the capital, Aden, to carry out their duty towards the citizens, take the necessary measures to stop the collapse of the national currency, and provide the minimum necessary services to citizens.
