Marib, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

On Saturday, government forces backed by the local resistance carried out a qualitative attack on Houthi positions in several areas in the south of Ma'rib governorate, while the Iranian-backed Houthi militia launched a counter-attack on Wadi Al-Musharif on the outskirts of the Mahlia Directorate, which was repelled and thwarted and inflicted heavy losses on its members.

Field sources in Marib confirmed that the army and the resistance were able to advance towards the “Al-Sadara” area, which is a strategic triangle of roads, from which it is heading east towards the city of Ma’rib, south towards Al-Bayda Governorate, west towards the center of Rahba District, and north towards Wadi “Baqtha”, and whoever imposes  His control of the area decides the fate of four districts: “Huraib, Al-Juba, Jabal Murad and Rahba” in the Ma’rib governorate, as well as controlling the fate of the “Wolde Rabei’ and Al-Qurayshiya” districts in Al-Bayda.

The sources pointed out that the army and resistance forces are now closing in on the Houthi militia elements in the Sadara area, after advancing towards it from two axes: the first, coming from the Harib district, and the second from the direction of Wadi Al-Musharif.

During the past two days, the government forces and the resistance managed to take control of the Rahba district and the center of the district "Kola Rahba", and a military operation began towards "Al-Sadara" in conjunction with the start of another attack from the direction of the Harib district with the aim of controlling the lead, the center of the "Mahliya" district, and a strategic center linking  Between the districts of southern Ma'rib and the districts of northern al-Bayda.

The sources confirmed the control of the army and the resistance over the areas of "Ashera, Dhra' Al-Dima, Al-Raba', and Alafa", preceded by raids by coalition fighters on Houthi sites, targets and reinforcements in those areas.

The sources pointed out that progress is currently taking place towards "Wadi Al-Lub" branching from Wadi "Al-Musherif", which is directly connected to "Wadi Yakla", which reaches the "Qaifa" area in Al-Bayda Governorate, which prompted the militias to mobilize their fighters and combat mechanisms towards that front to repel the advance  Forces in order not to open a new front towards the "Rada'" districts near the governorates of Dhamar and Sana'a.

The sources indicated that the “Al-Sadara” area is being closed, from the southwest side, where the army and the resistance advanced towards Wadi Al-Lab, and from the east side, after controlling the “Al-Majaaz” area, and “Jabal Ashera” was captured, to the southeast of the Sadara area.  It is close to controlling the "Fore Triangle" and the fusion of the two fronts in it.

The sources stated that, after taking control of Wadi al-Lub, the army and resistance forces had two options: either to advance north towards the al-Qasim area to directly penetrate the al-Sadara area, or to advance eastward along the al-Lub valley south of Mount Ihram to reach the al-Sadara area.  "Al-Sada", on the road to "Qania" in Al-Bayda, and thus "Al-Sada" will fall without a fight

The army and resistance forces, backed by the fighters of the Arab coalition, advanced yesterday evening, from the Harib side towards the front, and were able to liberate the areas of "Arftan, the Majaz area, and parts of Jabal al-Berm", and began bombing Houthi militia sites in the "Al-Sabil" area, which is directly adjacent to the front  .

Over the past few days, the southern front of Marib Governorate witnessed rapid developments, in which the army and tribes were able to control large areas in the districts of "Jabal Murad, Rahba and Mahlia", and continued to advance towards strategic areas on the edge of Al-Bayda Governorate.

The "News of the Islamic World" website, which is close to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, had acknowledged the control of the Yemeni government forces, or what it calls the "Saudi coalition", over the areas of "Rahba, Jabal Murad, South Al-Sadara, Jabal Al-Hamar, Al-Sadara and Al-Sabil" areas in southern Marib.
