Houthi hysteria in revenge against civilians, the vast outskirts of Marib

During the past 72 hours, the Houthi militia has been carrying out reprisals against civilians in the outskirts of Rahba district, southwest of Ma'rib governorate, after the district was retaken by the army and the Murad tribes, and the militia suffered severe human and material losses.
Local sources reported the killing of a citizen and his granddaughter and the injury of his son by Houthi militia fire inside their house on the outskirts of Rahba district, southwest of Ma'rib Governorate.
The sources said that the Houthi militias stormed the house of the citizen, Abbad Al-Nusairi, located in the Al-Mushairif area, between Rahba and Ould Rabie district, and opened fire.
She added that the Houthi militia had killed the Nusayri citizen and one of his son's daughters and wounded his son, stressing that the dead man was a shepherd who did not assault anyone and did not participate in a war.
For its part, a Protection Organization for Civil Orientation, HOCO, revealed that it had received reports from the people of the Abiya area, southeast of Rahba District, stating that Houthi gunmen stormed the homes of citizens, forcing them to leave and kidnapping a number of residents to unknown places.
The human rights organization quoted local residents of Wadi Abiya (still under the control of the Houthis) as saying that armed Houthi military teams came to them, on Thursday afternoon, to break into their homes, search them, force them to leave and evacuate the place, and kidnapped three people from the area.
It also quoted an official local source in Rahba district as confirming that the Houthis have escalated violent practices and violations against the people of the district in the areas that are still under their control.
According to the official, the Houthis aim to force the people to flee to turn their villages, farms and pastures into minefields, as they did in some areas over the past months.
Observers believe that the violent practices and acts of violations committed by the Houthis towards the people of the areas still under their control in Rahba district come in the context of revenge against civilians against the background of the army and resistance making great progress and the restoration of the center of Rahba district and other large areas north of the district.
The Houthi militia practiced similar acts of violence and violations against civilians and raids of homes in the Al-Awsal area of the same district at the beginning of this year.
The Organization for the Protection of the Houthis monitored the forced displacement of 37 families from the area and left their homes, while the area became contaminated with mines and remnants of war.
