A court in Taiz sentences the directors of electricity and transportation to half a year in prison

 On Thursday morning, the Public Funds Court in Taiz Governorate issued a ruling to imprison and fine the Director General of a government institution after convicting him of obstructing work in a government facility.

Human rights sources told (Newsyemen) that the Public Funds Court issued, this morning, Thursday, a sentence of five months imprisonment for the director of the isolated Transport Office, Muhammad Al-Naqib, with enforcement and a fine of one hundred thousand riyals, and litigation risks in favor of legal affairs.

And the Public Funds Court obligated Muhammad Al-Naqib to hand over the office and the seal to the acting commissioner of the Transport Office, Arif Abdullah Noman Al-Khalidi, in the presence of the receiving and delivery committee.

This ruling comes two days after the Public Funds Court issued a ruling to imprison the director of the Electricity Corporation, Aref Ghaleb Abdel Hamid, for a period of six months with immediate enforcement, in addition to a fine of fifty thousand riyals after being convicted of obstructing work in a government facility.

On the same level, the Public Funds Prosecution is investigating the dismissed directors, Muhammad Al-Naqib and Aref Abdel Hamid, in corruption cases brought against them based on a report documenting the facts of their corruption issued by the Central Organization for Control and Accountability.
