Al-Bayda.. Fierce battles in "Al-Zaher" after a massive Houthi attack

Al-Bayda, NewsYemen.

 Tribal sources told NewsYemen that the fiercest battles have taken place since Thursday morning, between the Popular Resistance Forces backed by the Southern Giants Brigades, on the one hand, and the Houthi militia, on the other, in the Al-Zaher district, Al-Bayda Governorate, in the center of the country.

The sources stated that the Houthi militia had brought in large military reinforcements, including armed groups and heavy military vehicles, to the vicinity of the area, and launched a violent attack, in an attempt to regain the positions it had lost in the past days.

The Houthis pushed five combat squads to carry out a suicide attack towards the center of the "Al-Zaher" district under heavy cover of fire, with the participation of tanks and heavy artillery.

According to the sources, fierce battles from a distance of zero are taking place on the outskirts of the district center, amidst human losses among the Houthis.

It stressed that the popular resistance had thwarted the Houthi suicide attempts to regain important sites, including "Kidan", "Dahwa", "Al-Jamagim" and "Al-Amlah", while a street war was taking place on the outskirts of the center of the "Al-Zaher" district.
