Sana'a, NewsYemen, private:

The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, continues its absolute rejection of the return of parliamentarian Hamid al-Jabarti to perform his duties as a member of the House of Representatives alongside the remaining members of the Council in Sanaa who are under its control.

Hamid Abdullah Saghir al-Jabarti, is a parliamentarian who returned to Sanaa after he was one of the last parliamentarians to leave Yemen abroad and declare their opposition to the militias. He was sentenced to death and his property confiscated on a list of 35 parliamentarians who oppose the militias, before returning to it last April, where  Militias celebrated his return to the media and considered it a victory for them.

Parliamentary sources in Sanaa told NewsYemen that the Houthi militia had satisfied itself with freezing the death sentence against parliamentarian Hamid al-Jabarti, with an amnesty from the militia leader and head of the so-called political council, Mahdi al-Mashat, and the directive to return his property, especially his house, which the militia had confiscated, within the framework of the terms and understandings that were made.  Between him and some of the Houthi leaders who played a role in his return to Sanaa.

Representative Ahmed Saif Hashid revealed, in tweets on his Twitter page, the Houthi militia's refusal to return Al-Jabarti to his work as a parliamentarian, and wrote on his page: Hamid Al-Jabarti, a member of the House of Representatives .. the last member to leave the homeland and the first to return to him .. And his return was after coordination and celebration of return ..  He was prevented from entering the council.. they still ask us to communicate with members abroad to return home.. "ton, ton, ton...", who is this fool who will return under the authority of more foolish practices..

Parliamentary sources revealed to NewsYemen: that despite many parliamentary mediations, the militias refused al-Jabarti’s return to his work, and stipulated that if he wanted to resume his activity as a parliamentarian, he must submit to a new candidacy process within the framework of his constituency within a supplementary election process that the militias intend to hold within the constituencies that were announced  its vacancy.

The sources described the Houthi militia’s treatment of MP Al-Jabarti as a model of humiliation, abuse and revenge by the militias for all Yemenis, including those who venture back to the capital, Sana’a, according to understandings and coordination with its leaders, noting that the Houthi leaders who coordinate the return of some personalities end their mission with media and political celebration.  With the return of those, then you throw them away and leave them to face their fate in dealing with the rest of the militia leaders that were and will continue to see them as mere traitors and agents that cannot be accepted.
