Sana'a, NewsYemen, private:

Well-informed sources told NewsYemen that the Houthi militia intends to annex several areas that administratively belong to Sana'a Governorate, to the capital's secretariat, with the aim of expanding money income and tightening control over them within the scope of the secretariat.

The sources indicated that there is a tendency by the militia to merge the capital's secretariat with the capital, Sana'a, under the name "Greater Sanaa."

She said, that this trend revolves around the annexation of Hadda, Beit Bos, Artel, Haziz, Al-Huthaili, Qaa Al-Qaydi, Al-Sabah, Shamlan, Sarf and Al-Matar neighborhoods to the capital's secretariat, as they are areas that follow administratively the governorate.

She pointed out that the Houthi militia directed to refer employees who have reached one of the two terms (death or legal age) to retirement, without any rights or end-of-service benefits, and even the basic salary cut off more than 5 years ago.

Meanwhile, the sources said that the Houthi militia has employed about 45,000 of its members, in various parts of the state, since it took control of Sanaa in 2014.

She pointed out that the Houthis have created a special server to employ the group's followers, given that the system in force in the civil service does not accept those who are employed from the militia members for violating all employment standards, especially in high-ranking administrative positions.

NewsYemen sources confirmed that the Houthi leader, Muhammad Ali al-Houthi, controls all employment decisions in the government sector, after stripping the so-called "Supreme Political Council" and the government of Abdulaziz bin Habtoor from any authority in the recruitment process.
