Clashes between two military brigades, one soldier was killed and others were wounded in Taiz

Taiz, NewsYemen:

 Violent clashes erupted between the National Army forces after the killing of a soldier, Wednesday evening, north of the city of Taiz in central Yemen.

A local source told NewsYemen that clashes erupted between the forces of the 22nd Mecha Brigade and the 170th Air Defense Brigade, after a soldier from the 170th Brigade was killed by soldiers from the 22nd Brigade in the Asafra area, north of the city of Taiz.

The source added that the soldier, Watheeq al-Absi, was killed by soldiers from the 22nd Brigade, Mecha. In response, forces from the 170th Brigade attacked the headquarters of the 22nd Brigade in Freedom Square, and confrontations took place between the two sides, which resulted in the injury of four soldiers and two children from the neighborhood.

According to the source, the clashes between members of the two brigades erupted after a dispute between the two parties over the qat taxes that representatives of the two brigades looted from the city's markets by force of arms.
