Yemenis: War for Al-Houthi is the key to survival and an excuse to loot state revenues and people’s pockets

Sana'a, NewsYemen, Jalal Muhammad:

In light of the international movement aimed at bringing peace to Yemen, Yemenis remain certain of the Houthis’ rejection of peace, their intransigence and their rejection of any solutions presented, because war is the key to their survival, and the only way that enables them to control the government, in addition to being a livelihood that generates hundreds of billions and an argument.  It is a great deal to continue looting the state’s revenues and the pockets of citizens, as do the beneficiary and corrupt extremist Islamic groups, and the opportunistic losers in the legitimacy wing.

Al-Hajj Muhammad Al-Ra'ini - in his fifties - says to NewsYemen: "Yemen is a jewel in the hands of a stoker. She did not find anyone who cares about her and gives her her right of love, attention and sincere patriotism.

We were one of the first countries of faith, but today we are a country of war and destruction."

He comments on the calls for peace and the possibility of the Houthis responding to those calls in his popular dialect: "Read history, and see that I have fallen in peace, and he lived with the people from their pocket. If you meet this, the Houthis will recognize peace.

The right of peace, they did not make war, and the proverb said, “If there was a sun it would have been yesterday.”

Al-Hajj Al-Ra’ini was not the only complainant, and he was certain that Al-Houthi did not accept peace. There are many who share this opinion. Ali Qashasha - a government employee - says peace is the demand and dream of the people who have tired of war and problems for ten years (2011-2021), but who hears  people and respect their aspirations?  no one.

He adds: "As for Al-Houthi, he is happy and enjoys the war, as long as the loss is on Yemen and from Yemen, he does not care, he is just an avenger, no less or more."

Qashasha asserts that Al-Houthi has a special concept of peace, for peace with him is to control all of Yemen, take its wealth to him and his dynasty, and submit to it all political leaders.  His right is from my Lord, a divine gift, he is not convinced that he is a human being like us, how can he accept someone to share in power?

For his part, Youssef Rajeh, a graduate student at Sana’a University, commented on the question of the possibility of achieving peace and the Houthis’ delinquency for peace by saying: Peace is limited to opening the airport and the port, and every facility enables the Houthis to obtain resources, whether financial, logistical and experts, other than this is an absolute evil, in  a look.

He referred to the issue of salaries, saying, "It is known that the suffering of the people came as a result of the absence of services, the high prices, and the interruption of sources of income. Did you see Al-Houthi talking about salaries as a priority and a necessity to alleviate people's suffering?"

Did he talk about the people's situation and their suffering, at all? The people and their suffering are not taken into account. All they care about is implementing what Tehran requires only.

Rajeh indicated that no progress can be made on the issue of peace, unless Tehran achieves its aspirations from the ongoing negotiations regarding the nuclear agreement. When it achieves its goal, it will give the Houthis the green light to respond to the calls for peace.

As for what is happening today, it is plowing in the water, cultivating the wind, and seeking peace from those who do not believe in it.

Yemenis live in harsh conditions, and difficult conditions, but they have sufficient ability to know the truth of the Houthis, and understand his purpose and psychology, and thus agree on the (legitimate government of their country), which has succumbed to controversies and political revenge, and turned into a savior for the Houthis most of the time, to defy this party or that, forgetting that it possesses  Support and backing makes it in a position of strength and enables it to defeat Al-Houthi if it possesses the political will and assigns the matter to the non-ideological national military competencies, and for Al-Houthi to be the one begging and seeking peace, not rejecting it.
