On Sunday, an engineering team of the Masam Program for Demining destroyed a missile left by the Houthi militia east of Mocha.
Hassan al-Juhouri, the supervisor of Masam's team, told NewsYemen that the Houthi missile was detonated in the place where it was found near the Khalid bin al-Walid camp, in the Mocha intersection, because it could not be recovered due to its danger.
He added that Team 17, which is in charge of clearing mines and explosives in that area, took over the process of detonating them, along with anti-armor mines, after they could not be moved to a safe place for disposal.
Sixteen engineering teams affiliated with the Masam Program are working in the western coastal districts to clear them of mines from the Houthi militia.
About 1,200 victims, most of them children, fell as a result of mines and explosive shells, which were planted by the Houthi militia, in the western coastal districts.
