The Mocha - Al-Kadha road was reopened to travelers, after the engineering teams completed clearing mines from the Houthi militia, and in implementation of the promises made by the leader of the National Resistance to the Governor of Taiz last month.
Manager said. Mowaseh Directorate, Abdul Karim Haider, told NewsYemen that the Mocha - Al-Kadha road was cleared in front of travelers who started using it, despite the fact that it was not officially opened.
He added that the toil road shortens nearly three hours of travel time, which ranges between five to six hours, and the crossing of travelers on very rugged mountain slopes.
He explained that the road was not officially opened, but citizens began to use it, to reduce the time and financial cost, as it is a road that shortens many distances, noting that travelers no longer need to take the Mocha, Al-Waziah, Rasan, Al-Turbah road.
He stressed that some drivers of the Taiz section in Mocha refuse to use the new road, for financial considerations, citing fear of the presence of landmines, although the engineering teams cleared it immediately after its liberation.
Haider expressed his deep thanks to the leader of the national resistance, Brigadier General Tariq Muhammad Abdullah Saleh, for the efforts he made in returning work to the vital road of toil, and facilitating travel for citizens.
Brigadier Tareq, the governor of Taiz, Nabil Shamsan, promised during his visit to Mocha to work on restoring the Al-Kahdah Road after the Houthi militia closed it with mines and prevented the passage of travelers, before being expelled from it, about a month ago.
