Sana'a, NewsYemen, private:

The hypothetical (announced) donations of the Houthi militia to support Palestine and the Palestinian cause aroused the nostalgia of state employees in Sana’a and the neighboring governorates for the days of disbursing their looted salaries in the militia’s coffers since September 2016.

The Houthi militia in the Ministry of Education in Sana'a announced a donation of 20 million riyals for what it called "in support of the Palestinian resistance", in light of the deterioration of the educational process and the exacerbation of the suffering of teachers and workers in the educational sector since the Houthi militia looted their salaries 5 years ago.

The Houthi militia assigned the task of collecting virtual donations to the leader in its ranks, Hassan Al-Hamran, brother of the appointed deputy minister of education in Sanaa, Qassem Al-Hamran, and Al-Hamran called on "all workers in the educational sector to participate in the donation campaign."

The Houthi militia claimed that "Qassem Al-Hamran, the Undersecretary of the Education Sector Abdullah Al-Naimi, the Media Adviser to the Minister of Education Mustafa Al-Marouni and the educator Mohammed Al-Maqhithi donated their personal weapons (pistols) to the Palestinian resistance."

The Houthi militia in the Ministry of Industry and Trade also announced that its institutions and affiliated bodies donated 22 million riyals in support of Palestine and Al-Quds Al-Sharif.

A newly established Houthi organization concerned with zakat claimed "the support of the Palestinian people and their valiant resistance, with a total amount of one billion and 14 million and 100 thousand riyals."

Commenting on this, activists on social networks believe that the Yemeni employee is more in need of the Palestinian who receives his monthly salary, and that the Yemeni people in these circumstances are more deserving of the crumbs left than the Palestinian people.

Others considered the pictorial display of sums of money under these titles merely political bids and false media tinsel, expecting the money to be returned to the warehouses and basements of the Houthi militia, noting that the review of the sums of money raises pains for "many deserving citizens of the destitute and needy people."

Activists called on the Houthi militia to disburse the salaries of employees in Sanaa on the basis of “Ahl al-Bayt is first with milk, and O you Mosaddeq with broth, your family is more deserving,” which are Yemeni proverbs that apply to the situation.
