On Tuesday, the joint forces responded to a violent Houthi attack, west of Hais, in conjunction with similar attacks in the southeast and north of the district.
The commander of the Second Tuhama Brigade, Brigadier General Fouad Jahanem, said that the brigade's forces responded to the Houthi attack, during which they used various types of weapons.
He added, that the Houthi militia bombed residential neighborhoods with mortar shells and caused a state of terror among the residents in conjunction with those attacks.
He stressed that one of the brigade's forces responded and dealt with the Houthi sources of fire and silenced them.
The Houthi militia had carried out two failed infiltration attempts from the northern and southeastern axis of Hays district.
