Mocha ... inviting the private sector, and the Netherlands remember its relationship with the first port

The head of the Political Bureau of the National Resistance invited investment companies (everywhere) to invest in the city of Mokha, in which the Yemenis have flocked to live, given the investment attraction that this coastal city enjoys, the most important of which is security and stability.

The city of Mocha is no longer a marginal city, as Brigadier Tariq emphasized during his meeting with the top merchants of Mokha on Monday, and the expansion taking place in the city requires the private sector to expand investments in the fields of education, housing, parks, parks and other areas in the interest of residents and investors in this promising city.

Since the announcement of the Political Bureau of the National Resistance, a number of development projects have been announced to be implemented in the coastal city, in order to ensure the establishment of a comprehensive infrastructure and a suitable investment environment, to be protected by the joint forces and the local authority from the hands of the abusers.

Among those projects, what was revealed by the governor of Taiz Governorate, Nabil Shamsan, during his recent visit to the city, by talking about large arrangements for various projects that are being worked on, whether it is related to intensive preparations for restarting the port of Mokha or operating the steam station and a station for desalination of drinking water.

Shamsan, while chairing a meeting led by the local authorities in the coastal directorates, said that the port of Mocha should work according to a modern vision that enables it to play the role of a competitor for the ports on the Red Sea coast. He pointed out that there are urgent and immediate measures to restart the operation of the Al-Mokha plant to provide 10 megabytes of electric power and to provide urgent electricity, and it will start working in the coming weeks.

The Dutch ambassador to Yemen, Peter Derek Hof, showed interest in the port of Mocha, recalling the trade relations between his country and this vital port that dates back hundreds of years, one of the first relations with the city that was the most famous in the world of trade, in the context of statements published by the United Nations Development Program at the end of Last April, the partnership between the United Nations Program and the Kingdom of the Netherlands to support Yemeni port authorities through the Netherlands Projects Agency and the Port of Rotterdam.

In the middle of the same month, Mr. Hof had discussed during a meeting with the leader of the National Resistance the water project to be implemented by the Netherlands in cooperation with the French Solidarity Organization, as well as benefiting from the Dutch expertise in the field of electric power generation by wind to support a project implemented by the resistance in Mokha to generate electric power with a power of 15 Megawatts.

In the middle of this month, Brigadier General Tariq announced, during a meeting with the Humanitarian Operations Cell of the National Resistance, the arrival of a desalination plant, which will benefit the people of the Mocha district.

In the context of the urban renaissance that Mocha is experiencing, the typical residential city of December 2 in the Yakhtal area for the families of the members of the National Resistance is emerging as a giant residential project equipped with all service facilities and services and equipped with the latest specifications. 

This model city, for which the foundation stone was laid by Brigadier General Tariq Saleh in January 2020 contains 600 housing units with their attachments. Today, the contracting company is completing its work in preparation for handing it over to the beneficiaries during the next few period.
