stablishment of the Republic of Yemen, 1990.

The facades of government buildings and electricity poles in the streets and public squares in Sana'a are empty of the national flags of the Republic of Yemen, which are usually hung on such national occasions to celebrate the occasion.

The slogan of the May 22 national occasion did not receive the same attention and the intense media promotion of the logos of its special occasions in the large number of programs and interfaces of the official media outlets that are under the control of the Houthi militia or those affiliated and loyal to it.

The Houthi militia obliges officials of institutions, bodies and government offices to officially celebrate events with racist / sectarian connotations that perpetuate the societal division among Yemenis, and saturate Iran's insatiable desire to provoke neighboring countries to Yemen by suggesting Iran's expansion in the region through its arms and what it describes as street Shiites.

The Houthi militia hangs huge pictures of Iranian leaders in the streets and public squares in Sanaa, and requires shop owners to hang banners and fabric slogans with sectarian connotations that simulate similar events in Iran.

On the occasion of May 22, 2021, the 31st National Day of the Republic of Yemen, the Houthi militia was satisfied with celebrating the event with formal media appearances such as announcing the occasion an official holiday, the leader Mahdi Al-Mashat giving a recorded speech on the occasion, and exchanging protocol greetings.

Al-Houthi presents a propaganda speech that he is driving to the south that he is no longer interested in the southern governorates, while he is still waging his wars against the south in Al-Dhalea and on the Al-Bayda side of Abyan.
