Mokha, NewsYemen, Monitoring Team:

The head of the Political Bureau for the National Resistance, Brigadier General Tariq Muhammad Abdullah Saleh, confirmed that the office represented the joint forces, pointing out that the latter needed a political arm to represent them in any negotiations, far from any religious blocs.

Brigadier Tariq Saleh reiterated, in a video interview, with the Sana'a Center for Studies, on Friday, that the Political Bureau is not a substitute for the General People's Congress Party, and said: “The Popular Congress is our big house, but it found a division between the inside and the outside, and this big party no longer has an opportunity to play its role fully.  Whether at home or abroad."

He pointed out that "the leaderships of the General People's Congress, at home, especially those in the capital, Sanaa, are under Houthi pressure and are politically marginalized, and those others abroad are divided into several currents."

Brigadier General Tariq Saleh welcomed everyone who wishes to join the political bureau, to make a new movement, indicating that Yemeni society needs new tools to confront the Houthi coup.

And he went on to say: "The old tools have not been able to confront the Houthis since they entered Sana'a, despite the great support of the Arab coalition, and have failed to manage the conflict with them during the six years of the war."

On the ground, Brigadier General Tariq Saleh confirmed that the Sweden agreement has not been implemented, except that it prevented the battle to liberate Hodeidah, and defeated the Houthi militia, which uses the coastal governorate to smuggle missiles and weapons, as well as to supplement its treasury with money.

He stated that the Houthi militia did not abide by the Stockholm Agreement and continued to control the port of Hodeidah and did not withdraw its forces from inside the city as stipulated in the agreement.

He continued: "The joint forces committed themselves to the agreement, because it is an international agreement and was signed by the legitimacy, which represents all Yemenis."

He pointed out that the UN ceasefire monitoring mission (ANMHA) has been subjected to Houthi pressure and blackmail in Hodeidah, and said that the Houthi militia is using its control of Sana'a to blackmail members of the international mission by preventing the entry of members you do not want through Sanaa airport.

Brigadier General Tariq Saleh described their relationship with the local authority in Taiz as good, while he said that the port of Al-Mokha needs rehabilitation because it was bombed by the Houthi militia, and before that by the coalition aircraft, during the Houthis' control of it.

While confirming that the joint forces have no objection to operating the port of Mokha, he pointed out that this requires a process of deepening the port in order to be able to receive commercial shipments, since it was a military port from the past.

While the leader of the National Resistance revealed that they had submitted a formal request to participate in the defense of Marib, following the first wave of Houthi attacks on the governorate, and they held a meeting within the framework of the Arab coalition in this regard, the legitimacy responded that "the situation does not need and that it is indispensable for any forces that come."

Brigadier General Tariq Saleh said: "We offered to send military units to support the National Army in Marib and deploy in certain axes, but the response was not positive."

When asked by the Sana'a Center for Studies about the nature of his relationship with the United Arab Emirates, he said that it is "a partnership relationship to liberate Yemen and restore the Yemeni state," affirming the UAE's commitment to these main goals.

Regarding the Iranian role in Yemen, Brigadier General Tariq Saleh said that Iran made the war and pushed the Houthis to antagonize the neighbors (Saudi Arabia) and liquidate former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

He confirmed the presence of Iranian experts inside the Yemeni capital, Sana'a.

"Iran is the one that arms the Houthis, it is the one that trains and finances them, and it is the one that nourishes even their ideology," he added.

The head of the Political Bureau for the National Resistance, Brigadier General Tariq Saleh, touched on the threats to the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait and said, "There are many threats, whether from the Houthis or from Iran," warning that if Tehran manages to form a threat in the Bab Strait, it will "twist the arm of the economy."Global".
