The matter moved to the presidency of the university, deans and departments. The change process affected the most important cadres.
The job was sectarianized in favor of one ideological faction that enjoys a racist project, leading to the matter in the educational curricula.
And the references of Hussain Al-Houthi were incorporated into the university curriculum without making any consideration to what is included in these attributes and their usefulness to the university student.
Transfer of chaos to the rest of the universities
What happened in Sanaa University has affected the rest of the universities in the other governorates, and Ibb University has taken the largest share.
The university was established on July 12, 1996 and began to operate in the same year as the fifth university in terms of incorporation.
The slogan “The Scream” was imposed at Ibb University and the “oath of allegiance” to the Master was shamefully, after the university was a distinguished academic model.
It turned into something like "hussainiyat", in which special events are revived and sectarianism and the group's ideas are spread, surpassing all formal forms of supposed party action.
It imposed new materials on all departments and appointed someone to teach on its own, and it created headquarters for its activities.
The "Central Library" of the university was suspended and its employees lost all the privileges in terms of salaries and incentives. Fadl Al-Mutaa was appointed as the dean of the Faculty of Law, and he has nothing to do with academic work.
Mukhtar Ahmed, a student, says: The administration neglected even the cleaning process inside the departments and in the college yard to the point that the sight of the garbage piled up makes you think that you are in a market and not a university.
Looting university revenues
The University of Ibb was exposed to the worst scandal and looting of its revenues. In December 2016, the safe containing approximately 120 million riyals and 300 thousand dollars, with a total of 220 million riyals, was broken, and it was completely looted.
The looting was carried out with the complicity of Akram Al-Washli, Vice President of the University at the time, before his appointment as Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, at a time when university employees were in dire need to pay salaries and continue the education process.
The responsibility was charged to Governor Salah, Dr. Tariq Al-Mansoub, the university president, the governorate supervisor Abdullah Al-Taoos, and the security director Muhammad al-Shami, all of whom worked in the service of Iran's arm.
The group did not stop here, but rather looted about 150 reeds for the benefit of people from the floor of the university campus at a rate of 50 million, as a minimum, the price of one straw.
High fees
As if the militia was planning every looting that took place, so it imposed on the parallel students in a number of colleges, including "dentistry", to pay the fees for all years at once, under the pretext that they would buy equipment.
The amount paid to each student from the dental department amounted to 13,700 thousand dollars, in addition to what was collected from other departments, including engineering, commerce, arts and sciences.
Last week of February 2021, the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Mukhtar Al-Maqtari, resigned, objecting to registering students without an admission and exclusion test.
Corruption continued in various forms, as it came to the university administration to raise the university card fees for students, and they began at the College of Engineering, where they imposed 20 thousand fees, the value of one card, to be paid in four installments of 5 thousand riyals.
Ibb is an exception in corruption
The militia deals with Ibb governorate in general and its government departments as a reservoir of huge revenues in addition to being an essential tributary to mobilizing fighters.
The militia did not leave any privacy that characterizes Ibb governorate. In addition to looting the university's lands, the lands of the "residential association" of faculty members were attacked.
During the past years, some academics have been attacked, others harassed, and students who tried to protest have been kidnapped, and any activities that do not serve their idea have been banned.
