Sanaa, NewsYemen:

Tribal gunmen cut off the road to Sanaa International Airport, Saturday, February 20, to condemn the killing of Sheikh Ali Abu Nashtan and a number of his family members, by supervisor bullets in the Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen.

The capital, Sanaa, has been witnessing tension and security deployment of militants since the killing of Ali Rajeh Abu Nashtan and other members of his family, on Friday, February 19, in the middle of a public street in the Rawda district, north of Sanaa.

According to local sources, exchanges of fire were heard on Saturday morning, at a checkpoint near Sanaa International Airport.

The sources reported that groups from the Arhab tribe, to which Sheikh Hizam Abu Nashtan belong, had gathered, vowing to avenge his killers and a number of his family members.

The reasons for the disagreement between Sheikh Abu Nashtan and the Houthi supervisor are not known, but tribal sources accused the Houthi supervisor of attacking the home of Abu Nashtan, accompanied by more than 10 armed security patrols.

The sources accused the Houthi militia of killing Abu Nashtan, along with his sister and three of their children, and seriously injuring his wife.

The relationship between Sheikh Ali Abu Nashtan and the leaders of the Houthi militia Nabih Abu Nashtan (appointed as Minister of State in Sana'a), and Shamsan Abu Nashtan (appointed head of the Houthi Zakat Authority) is unknown.
