The directorates of Shabwa governorate witnessed an almost total blackout due to the oil derivatives crisis.

Local sources confirmed that the hours of electricity shutdown in Shabwa reached 22 hours, compared to two hours of operation.

Photos of bonds dated February 16 to Tuesday showed that 81,000 liters of diesel were smuggled from the port of Qena to Al-Bayda governorate, which is controlled by the Houthi militia.

In turn, the people of Shabwa expressed their dissatisfaction with the power cuts in their areas, blaming the Brotherhood’s authorities for not providing diesel to run the power plants.
