US Senator Tom Cotton said the Houthi rebels are armed and trained by Iran's Foreign Terrorism Corps, the IRGC, and Hezbollah.
This came in a statement by Senator Tom Cotton (Republican from Arkansas), regarding President Biden's decision to remove the terrorist designation of the Houthi militia in Yemen.
Of the Houthis, the senator added, "They fire missiles at American civilians and sailors, chanting" Death to America, "and they have plunged Yemen into a prolonged war that has left the Yemeni people.
He continued "If this is not terrorism, I don't know what it is,", adding that President Biden and Secretary of State Blinken may foolishly believe that a goodwill gesture toward the Houthis will lead to peace, but the rebels have ignored the peace process for years while refusing to respect the ceasefire.
