Journalist Yasser Al-Yafei considered that the Islah Party, the local branch of the Brotherhood, is playing its last card in the Hadramawt governorate, with its attempts to announce the so-called “Hadhramaut region”.
Al-Yafei said, in a tweet on "Twitter": "The Islah Party’s attempt to announce the Hadhramaut region will not succeed ... an illegal decision, not based on any reference, and unacceptable to the people."

For his part, the former governor of Mahra, Rajeh Bakrit, said that declaring the region of the so-called Hadramawt unilaterally without referring to the parties as an imposition of a fait accompli. The two provinces.
He added, "We in Mahra and Socotra are an integral part of the south, and unless the so-called" Hadramout region "is retreated, the people of the two governorates have other options that may be harsh and unpredictable on the legitimacy that will be announced later and we will not be dependent."
He continued, "We will not be subordinate to anyone after today, regardless of the challenges ... The approach to the choice of the region of Mahra and Socotra has become a fait accompli imposed by customs, traditions, geography, history and identity, and we will have what we wanted in the end, and we have said it before."
