A member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, considered that US President Joe Biden's announcement of stopping US support for the war in Yemen "will not achieve peace."

Al-Awlaqi said, in a tweet on "Twitter": "The announcement by the American president to stop supporting the war in Yemen will not achieve peace, as some think, for many reasons, including that peace is an internal conviction and not an external desire."

 He added, "Just as justice is the path leading to peace, and these factors do not exist."

The transitional leader indicated that a bad and unjust peace is not a peace, especially when the problem is deep and the division is large.
