Southern political writer Saleh Ali Al-Duwail Paras said that he received a letter threatening to physical liquidation for him and his family, because of his political positions against the presence of the Brotherhood militia in Shabwa governorate.
Saleh Al-Duwail said that on Thursday night, on January 28, 2021 AD, a person wearing "uniforms" came to a store where one of his relatives works, and told him to call your uncle Muhammad Ali Al-Duwail and tell him that we put a message for him in his car.
He added, "Indeed, we found it (the car) full of threatening liquidations for us and our children against the background of my writing."
He stated that he registered a communication with the Public Prosecution attached to the threat letter and transferred it to the relevant authorities.
He continued: "I will not honor myself, for we have resisted the Houthi with our weapons and money and we made martyrs, and those who resisted the Houthi know this, and our family is still in debt until now, while the money to fight the Houthi was taken by thieves and looters."
He added, "My writings are with the southern independence project and against empowerment and corruption, just as my gun and my pen were against Al Houthi. And if they want to shed our blood with this, let them do so, their threats will not intimidate me and I will not be neutral."
Al-Duwail held the Brotherhood’s authorities in Shabwa responsible for what might happen to him or to any of his relatives, adding: “And if I am a claimant to any party, I only have my pen and my opinion, and no one will confiscate it.”
