Sanaa, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

Contrary to the media rhetoric that the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, is trying to show its indifference to its classification as a terrorist organization, informed sources in Sana'a confirmed that the leaders of the group are living in an unprecedented state of confusion following the decision of the US State Department

"NewsYemen" sources reported that the so-called "Supreme Political Council" held a meeting on Wednesday to discuss how to deal with Washington's decision to classify the Houthis as terrorists and the consequences thereof.

Contrary to the contents of the news of the meeting published by the Houthi media, the sources confirmed that the Houthi leader, Mahdi Al-Mashat, asked the members of the Council to submit written proposals on how to deal with the American decision and the results that would result from it, indicating that his request comes in implementation of directives issued to him by the office of the militia leader.  Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi.

The sources added that Mahdi Al-Mashat expressed his concern and his group's concern about the repercussions of the decision, especially after some international organizations and relief workers informed them that they would transfer their financial accounts to the capital, Aden, and would open offices there.

It's indicated that Al-Mashat expected the organizations to start implementing their threats with the expiration of the deadline that the US Treasury Department gave regarding financial transfers to the Houthis until the end of next February, according to the intelligence information submitted to him.

Some militia leaders try to export a political and media rhetoric that shows that they are not afraid of the decision. This is something that the sources say is just for media consumption and propaganda and political bidding on the movement’s elements, especially its military and security militia.
