On Tuesday, an armed force affiliated with the security of the city of Marib stormed the headquarters of the Al-Humayqan Resistance and kidnapped the field commander of the Resistance, the supply and supply pillar of the 181st Infantry Brigade, in an incident that was widely condemned by the popular resistance in Al-Bayda governorate.
The individuals and leadership of the Al Humayqan Resistance condemned the arbitrary act of an armed group that it said was affiliated with the security forces.
In the middle of the night, January 19, they stormed the headquarters of the Al-Humayqan Resistance in the Doha Hotel in the Marib governorate and kidnapped the leader of the Resistance, Colonel Abdulaziz Abed Rabbo Al-Humayqani, the supply and supply pillar of the 181st infantry brigade in a Melishaw style, describing this act as "cowardly."
The statement called on the president, his deputy, the minister of defense and interior, the governor of Marib, and all the political and security leadership in the governorate of Marib "to follow up on this matter, the safety of Sheikh Al-Humayqani, and restore respect to him and all the resistance Al Humayqan"
A source in the Resistance Al Humayqan revealed that the kidnapping of the leader Al-Humayqani by the Islah forces because of his political affiliation to the General People's Congress, and his recent standing against fake lists of Islah cadres have nothing to do with the Hamikan fronts, which the leaders of the organization wanted to push to form the 181 Infantry Brigade and exclude the true sons of the resistance.
He added that Al-Islah attributed to Al-Humayqan a Facebook post calling on the Southern Resistance to regain the Al-Wadiah outlet from the Islah party, and considered it a pretext for his arrest.
