Aden, NewsYemen:

Militia leader Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, who is on the US blacklist of international terrorists, has acknowledged corruption in his leadership and discriminatory practices based on "race" within the group itself.

Al-Houthi said that some of his militia members died because of the cold in Sana'a, due to the lack of protective clothing, while the leaders and supervisors have a surplus in their homes.

He accused leaders and supervisors of corruption and misconduct, and said that they “care about providing luxuries for themselves,” while there are militants who do not get the main food as he put it.

Meanwhile, he said, the torrents swept away quantities of weapons belonging to his militia, in valleys, after they were placed by some leaders in the torrents.

He also admitted that other quantities of weapons were exposed to aerial bombardment by the Arab coalition fighters, and accused leaders and supervisors of "treason and neglect."

In addition, the militia leader accused leaders of the group of hiding weapons, and said, "We are fighting today (the war of the parties), and some are hiding weapons ... I don't know for how long."

Al-Houthi admitted that the leaders of his group seize the in-kind support that they impose on the citizens in their areas of control, under the pretext of "fronts", as they sell them in the markets and buy "qat" with its financial returns.

The militia leader said that he "suffers more from bad behavior within his group than from (the enemy)," he said.
