The Emirates Red Crescent launched the second phase of literacy and adult education centers, and centers for memorizing the Holy Quran, in three liberated directorates in Al Hodeidah Governorate.
The centers for literacy and adult education, as well as centers for memorizing the Qur’an, were distributed among the directorates: Hays, At-Tuhaita, and Al-Khokha.
The opening of literacy centers comes as part of the UAE's continuous support for the education sector in the liberated districts and regions of the West Coast.
During the years that followed the liberation of the coastal directorates, the Emirates Red Crescent repaired and rehabilitated about 36 schools, enabling thousands of students to return to their schools, after the war of the Houthi militia destroyed them.
