A football player and his son were killed by shrapnel of an artillery shell fired by the Houthi militia - Iran's arm in Yemen - at a sports club building, this morning, Saturday, east of the city of Taiz, in the center of the country.

A local source told (NewsYemen) that the Houthi militia stationed in the Al-Hawban area shelled the neighborhoods of Al-Ardi and Point Four, this morning, Saturday, east of Taiz.

A shell hit the gate of the Al-Ahly Sports Club, killing Al-Taliaa player, Captain Nasser Al-Raymi and his youngest son, and charring their bodies, and injuring three other civilians, among the club's pioneers, according to the source.

The renewed artillery shelling of residential neighborhoods east of Taiz came hours after the skirmishes between the Houthi militia and the National Army forces in the north of the city stopped.
